He was hired by A.T. Kearney, which is a consulting firm. Warikoo worked in Dubai, New York, and India for Kearney in the Real Estate and Media & Entertainment sectors.
Ankur Warikoo’s friend “Vivek Pahwa” founded Accentium in 2007. He is a co-founder of the company and works part-time for Accentium while working full-time at A.T. Kearney. In May 2009, he quit his job and moved to Accentium full-time. Accentium Web owns and manages a number of websites in the Indian consumer space, including SecondShaadi (a remarriage matrimonial service), Gaadi.com, and others (a car portal which got later sold to Naspers Group in 2011 and was acquired by CarDekho.com in 2015). In September 2010, Ankur Warikoo left the company.
Warikoo established the Groupon India business in April 2011, which is when Groupon entered India through an acquisition. In addition to acting as the CEO of the India company, between 2013-2015 Warikoo also supervised the Groupon APAC business of Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
In 2015, he launched nearbuy.com and served as its CEO till 2019. Prior to that, he founded Groupon India in 2011 and served as its APAC GM until 2015.
