However, he rose to prominence in his career thanks to the television series Mahabharata, produced by BR Chopra, and became known as ‘Bhima’ in every Indian family. After completing the Mahabharata, he went on to star in over 50 films and television series.
Praveen was also fortunate enough to receive the Arjuna Award from the government of India.
Praveen also tried his hand at politics and joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2013. He ran for the Delhi assembly on an AAP ticket from the Wazirpur seat. However, he lost. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party the next year.
