At that point in time, there was absolutely zero awareness about the Calisthenics. He has to go through a lot of downs before reaching the place where he is today. He struggles a lot with the resources. It was a tough job to arrange the required equipment for the training or even to find out the trainer.
In his initial days of training, he has limited resources due to which he could not afford to buy safety mats. A lot of times, he fell down and injured himself but, that didn’t stop him. Those bruises inspire him to do better. Siddhart used to watch youtube videos and learn from them. Due to the unavailability of resources, he and his team saved money and installed a pull-up bar in a nearby garden.
Siddharth became quite popular on social media because of his callisthenics videos. Things started getting serious when he received a call from India’s Got Talent. It was merely a hobby for him but, now he began taking callisthenics seriously. However, Siddharth didn’t win India’s Got Talent but, the show motivated him so much that he became conscious of his goal. His goal was to represent India on an international platform. He started working to accomplish his goal and, in 2018, Siddharth won the India National Championship, held in Bangalore.
After winning the Championship, he received an opportunity to represent India at World Cup 2018, Australia. But it wasn’t as easy as it sounds. At that point of time in India, callisthenics wasn’t recognized as a sport Siddharth finds a lot of difficulty in arranging funds. He used all of his savings and went to Australia. He competed in the world cup and secured 7th rank.
The defeat doesn’t shake his confidence. He worked hard and, in 2019, he represented India in the World Cup, South Africa. This time all of his hard work pays off and, he brings the trophy to India. Today, Siddharth is a recognized professional Callisthenics Athlete in India.
