Ravi Mishra a.k.a. Raga never had an intention of making a career in rapping. But he used to love writing poetry in rhythm quite often and gradually this became his profession. He didn’t have any musical background which forced him to kick start his career from scratch. His favourite singers are Divine, Naezy, Badshah and Bohemia. He started his journey as an underground rapper and was known by the name Ewill Myth. While speaking about his cultural love for this he said, ” I could express myself freely, but money was the biggest problem, even winning a rap battle would give me meagre Rs.5000.” After a lot of struggle, he successfully released his debut single ‘Raahat‘ which was an instant hit among audiences. Currently, it has over 8 Million+ views on YouTube, making it the most viewed rap video of Raga to date. Aamir Kunwar, who is the founder of Artisttan tried to contact him after listening to his music. He got associated and signed a permanent deal with Artisttan. His first collaboration with them was ‘Jamnapaar’, which describes the life past of Yamuna River in Delhi, which garnered 6 Million+ views on their YouTube channel.
Famous mainstream rappers like Badshah and Raftaar too have appreciated the looming star’s hard work and relentless dedication. In November 2018, he strikes a deal with Sony Music.
